Catholic Tax Credit Scholarship Fund of South Florida
An initiative of the Archdiocese of Miami

Your Tax Credit. Their Catholic Education.

What if your federal tax credit could help change a child’s future by providing them with a Catholic education?

Beginning in 2027, a new federal scholarship tax credit will provide eligible taxpayers with an opportunity to support K–12 education, including our Catholic schools, while receiving a dollar-for-dollar federal income tax credit of up to $1,700 per individual taxpayer, or potentially up to $3,400 for married couples filing jointly when both spouses make qualifying contributions, subject to applicable federal requirements.

Through the Catholic Tax Credit Scholarship Fund of South Florida, the Archdiocese of Miami is preparing to connect this opportunity with its mission of making Catholic education more accessible to children and families throughout South Florida. Your contribution can help open doors to Catholic education while potentially reducing your federal income tax liability.

How Does It Work?

  1. Support Education
Beginning in 2027, eligible taxpayers may contribute to a qualified Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), such as the Catholic Tax Credit Scholarship Fund of South Florida, once approved.
  2. Receive a Federal Tax CreditQualifying contributions may be eligible for a dollar-for-dollar federal income tax credit of up to $1,700 per individual taxpayer, subject to applicable requirements.
  3. Open Doors for StudentsContributions help fund scholarships that provide eligible students with greater access to educational opportunities, including Catholic education.
